Social Service Technician II (SSTII)

Job Requirements
Social Service Technician II / SSTII
- 1 years experience in a healthcare setting or working with Developmental Disabilities (DD) population, preferred but not required
- High School Diploma/GED
Job Description
- The client support worker is responsible for providing various patient-related services to meet personal care needs and to promote comfort and independence in the DD setting. Services are limited to those in compliance with the facility policies/procedures and applicable state regulations.
- Facilitate activities
- Transport individuals into the community
- Complies with CapsuleAID policies/procedures.
- Complies with client facility policies/procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Communicates information effectively to appropriate personnel.
- Assists with collection of specimens; takes and records vital signs; and assists with feeding of patients.
- Documents patient care as assigned in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Follows the patient’s treatment plan as assigned.
- Maintains competency by participating in continuing education programs and meets state specific requirements.
- Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
